Raster painting for After Effects, with a spatial canvas lane in development.
v1.0.0BrushBox is a raster painting panel for After Effects. It is built for painted passes, frame accents, rough animation details, matte fixes, and texture work that needs to stay close to the comp.
Open BrushBox from Window > Extensions > BrushBox. Dock it beside the comp when you want the panel to behave like part of the shot workspace.
Keep sketch, colour, cleanup, and highlight work on separate layers until the comp is ready. It makes small fixes much less expensive.
Pressure-aware painting with size, opacity, smoothing, colour, and per-tool memory.
Separate sketch, ink, colour, shadow, highlight, and cleanup passes.
Paint across frames for smear drawings, boiling details, animated accents, and shot-specific roughs.
Commit painted artwork back into After Effects as footage when the pass is ready.
Save BrushBox sessions with project metadata, frames, and layer PNGs.
After Effects is the shipping plugin lane. The visionOS spatial canvas is a native surface in development.
