How licensing works for Jon Hanlan tools.
After your purchase, you'll receive a licence key via email. This key activates the tool on your machine. One licence covers one machine.
Enter your licence key when prompted the first time you open the tool. Activation requires an internet connection. Once activated, the tool works offline.
Each licence activates on one machine at a time. If you work on a desktop and a laptop, you'd need two licences — or deactivate one before activating the other.
Deactivate your licence on the old machine (from the tool's settings), then activate on the new one with the same key. No limit on how many times you can move it. If you can't access the old machine (it broke, was wiped, etc.), email hello@jonhanlan.me and I'll reset it manually.
Need licences for a team? Purchase multiple units during checkout. Each licence key is independent — distribute them however you need. Volume pricing available for 5+ licences; email hello@jonhanlan.me.
Every update within the current major version (v1.x) is free. No subscription. Buy once, use forever. If a major new version (v2.0) ever launches, existing users get a discount.
Tools require an active internet connection for initial activation and periodic licence validation. After activation, they work offline. A file system read/write permission is required (After Effects > Preferences > Scripting & Expressions).
